Pro’s View On: Mike Costleigh

Chris Hayes’s View on video:

Mike Costleigh LB #58, 6’3 230lbs

Player has a nose for finding the ball. Player plays aggressive but is up to high @ the point of attack. Player showed the ability to play close to the line of scrimmage. Player needs to work on staying low and opening up his hips on pass coverage. My suggestions to player is to work on coverage and concentrate on staying lower. Overall I think that player is a solid run stopper and could contribute on the next level if someone has the time to develop him.

Chris Hayes

Chris Hayes was drafted by the New York Jets in the seventh round (210th pick overall) of the 1996 NFL draft. He was waived by the Jets at the end of training camp in August, 1996, and signed on to the Washington Redskins practice squad that September. After being waived again by the Redskins on October 1, 1996, Chris was immediately signed to the Green Bay Packers practice squad. Chris played in all three of Green Bay ’s post season games in 1996, including Super Bowl XXXI against the New England Patriots, which brought him home a ring. Chris was traded back to the Jets in June, 1997; re-signed with the Jets in March, 1998; and was later activated to the active roster in December.
