Chris Hayes

Chris Hayes Biography After graduating from Washington State University, Chris Hayes was drafted by the New York Jets in the seventh round (210th pick overall) of the 1996 NFL draft. He was waived by the Jets at the end of training camp in August, 1996, and signed on to the Washington Redskins practice squad that September. After being waived again by the Redskins on October 1, 1996, Chris was immediately signed to the Green Bay Packers practice squad. Chris played in all three of Green Bay ’s post season games in 1996, including Super Bowl XXXI against the New England Patriots, which brought him home a ring. Chris was traded back to the Jets in June, 1997; re-signed with the Jets in March, 1998; and was later activated to the active roster in December. This roller coaster ride was just his introduction to the NFL. Chris went on to finish with 8 years in the league and what seemed like 25 years of hard- hitting experience.
After retiring from the NFL with a wealth of knowledge an a arsenal of skills, Chris was well pre- pared to face a post-pro-ball world with a new-found determination to succeed. Chris was born on May 7, 1972, in San Bernardino, California. He worked with troubled teenagers during his college and professional career, and has continued to intensify his outreach efforts since retiring from the NFL. He frequently visits detention centers and county jails in the California area.
Chris credits the time he spent in the Fairfax (CA) Continuation School as the major turning point in his life after he was expelled from high school as a sophomore. Chris recognizes his high school coach, Carl Gayton, and his continuation teacher, Dean Nord, as two people who help him get back on track at an early age in life. Chris and his wife, Aran, have three sons Christopher, Jr., Isaiah, and Jeremiah. Mr. Hayes is founder of Chris Hayes Motivational, an organization engaged in moving young people and businesses in the right direction through the creation of personal objectives and strategies, focused execution and the measurement of performance.
He is also the founder of 3030 Productions Inc. An organizations that goes throughout the inner cities in Southern California uplifting the youth, through interactive programs that are geared towards building strong communities.
